The Course

This trauma-informed, CPD-accredited training has been created as a safe, supportive space for people in the LGBTQ+ community to learn practical personal safety and self defence strategies.

Shaped by our work with LGBTQ+ groups and organisations, the course focuses on realistic, real-world situations - not complicated or “fancy” techniques. The training is delivered through a clear, guided presentation with Dene, supported by demonstration videos and real-life scenarios.

The course is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes long.

Your instructor

Since 2002, I’ve protected some of the world’s most visible people - actors and their families, including Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Russell Crowe - as well as executives, in settings from red carpets to crowded streets.

With a background in boxing, martial arts, the Royal Marines, and private security in Iraq, Tunisia, Libya, and Nigeria, I understand how real violence unfolds and how to prevent, de-escalate, or survive it.

I bring that hard-earned experience into practical, pressure-tested teaching that puts your safety and autonomy first.

I’m passionate about self defence as a tool of empowerment for LGBTQ+ people.

My classes are inclusive, trauma-aware, and consent-driven, tailored to different bodies, identities, and abilities.

Above all, I teach with care and respect, building confidence and community so you can move through the world with more choice, safety, and pride.
